Limi Yamamoto S'09

The styling was adorable as always; models wore headphones made out of faux braided hair, which created a sort of Princess Leia effect. Her consistent use of neck ties, suspenders and heavy boots challenge the traditional ideals of what is considered feminine, meanwhile enhancing the overall cohesiveness of the show. While many of her garments are within the monochromatic realm, the details - such as funky tights and tiered, ruffled pieces - break it up more than enough to keep it diverse.

The cuts, styles, use of fabrics that she chose are amazing.. & the color scheme is just a plus on my end (If you don't know already, I fancy & worship the color black more than any color) I'm really digging this collection. I admire designers who are able to use dark colors in spring/summer collections, rather than the atypical floral prints & bright pastel colors. The dark side... ohhh~ ;).

DIY: Martin Margiela Sandal Booties

I need to feed my shoe closet. Well, more like, my addiction.

For some time, I've been in wanting for Martin Margiela sandal booties from S/S'08. I know, I know - I've been quiet about not mentioning it previously when I was posting, but I have always kept them in mind. The only problem is that they are far from my reach as of possession due to the color I want is no where to be found in my size *sobs*

So what does this lead to? DIY Martin Margiela's!

As I was searching the internet, I stumbled onto Clutch22's DIY tutorial for the shoes. As like myself, she was in the same boat as me for not being able to find the shoes in the wanted color & needed size, so she made a pair! Now I don't have to worry about finding them as much because now I can craft them myself (Yay!) So all that leads to is buying a pair of strappy shoes, vinyl boots, a glue gun, & a pair of scissors.

So it's official, Clutch22 is now a part of my daily reads. She's so crafty!

Now all I have to do is search for these Chloe's. If only I could make themself...

When I first saw the Margiela sandals I hated them but the black ones are growing on me. I love the Chloe's in tan though!

I want those shoes for myself as well, although I doubt I will be able to find them here in Thailand. If only I was crafty, I would totally do one for myself. :/

Ooh, their headphones on those runway photos are awesome. Whoa.
